Shanghai is going to be the new capital of the furniture & woodworking sector. The organizers of WMF (Woodworking Machinery Fair in Beijing) and CIFM (China International Furniture Machinery) have merged their efforts and joined together in 2018 in order to present the production chain from woodworking to furniture production in one event – the China (Shanghai) International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair. In 2018 the first edition of the Shanghai International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fai together with the fourth edition of CIFF (China International Furniture Fair) took place. Covering a total area of 53,000sq.m, 550 national and international exhibitors presented their products.

VietnamWood is Vietnam's leading woodworking trade show, held every two years at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The focus is on machines and materials for woodworking, furniture manufacturing and woodworking materials and consumables. In 2017, 383 exhibitors presented their products on around 18,000 m², of which 303 were from abroad. On the visitor side, the event has a more regional character. Approximately 80 % of the 11,500 visitors came from Vietnam and 20 % from predominantly Asian countries.
